The best beaches in the province of Cádiz

We dedicate a section of our website to the beaches of Cadiz. If you are in our rural accommodation in Arcos de la Frontera, you must make a trip to some of the best beaches in Spain, you have to visit them!

Caños de Meca

Except on specific days in summer, they are usually quiet and clean beaches. They are very beautiful, with water that invites you to swim. There are areas with more waves, and others that are calmer, perfect for families.

Some of the beaches we can recommend are:

• Playas de Trafalgar, wilder and perfect for swimmers looking for waves.
• Calitas, small beaches that form on the other side of La Playa del Faro. They have a certain intimacy, in a wonderful location, and you will find nudism.
• Cala de Varadero or Marisucia, a small and beautiful beach next to the Trafalgar Lighthouse. You will enjoy a unique panoramic view, with a good view of Africa, Los Caños and Zahara de los Atunes.
• Playa del Pirata, located in the centre of Los Caños. It is its main beach, due to its atmosphere, beach bars and its proximity to the town.

El Palmar

This is one of the most popular undeveloped beaches in the province. Playa del Palmar, Vejer de la Frontera, has fine golden sand and its crystal clear waters will captivate you. It is usually crowded but, as it is far from the population centres, you won't find crowds. The waves are moderate, the depth is shallow, and it is perfect for families, especially if there are small children.

La Barrosa

La Barrosa, in Chiclana, is a unique place for sea lovers. Fine sand spread out over a great width, flat, clean and calm.

Costa Ballena

Considered by many to be one of the best beaches in the province. Located in Rota, it offers a wide range of gastronomic options: restaurants, beach bars, ... A unique family environment. 8 kilometres of fine sand, characteristic of the beaches of Cadiz, where you can enjoy long walks and bathing.

Zahara de los Atunes

A beach full of attractions. With fresh, clean waters, you have at your disposal 8 km of wide coastline, with coves and extensive sandy beaches.
