What can you visit in Bornos?
Castle Palace of the Ribera family
The arrival of the Muslims led to its construction, a fortification in a place with abundant water sources. With the Christian reconquest, this emblematic building in Bornos was restored. Every tile, door and corner of this castle is worth a closer look. It is completed by beautiful Renaissance gardens.
Water is a decorative element, and the pool of the Secret Garden is still preserved in the Palace. Legend has it that the Lady of Castillino bathed there and then went to the adjoining chapel to cleanse her soul.
The Lodge
A loggia is a gallery or succession of arches. Its function in the past was to house the duke's sculpture collection. Did you know that it is the only one in Andalusia in the Pompeian style?
Arc Mill
It formed part of a series of hydraulic constructions, some of Arab origin, which even supplied water to the town of Bornos and its market gardens.
